A trek through the jungle,
You prepare to combat the keepers of this concrete static,

Your inner child, so stubborn and forthright,
Reminds you she likes her play.

Eschew the grand mediocre,
perfection in an average,

This grand illusion,
Peddled to the masses,
And packaged for consumption.

The beastly rabbit of time dances over the remains of the past.  But once the past was the present, and you could not see what lay ahead.  Take your time.  You have this moment to enjoy.

In this forest garden,
concrete and bars,
play the fool,
the juggler behind
shows a mask of normalcy,
while hiding in the crowd.

To know the future,
I draw the cards,
a new door opens
and moonlight casts long shadows,
nearly full this night.

I spread the cards,
my eyes are closed,
yet all I see is light.

My sacral center debauch,
the seven lanterns lit.

And seven petals fall,
the passion flight,

With my purity,
I do sit.

The true monsters
write the checques,
disrupt the balance,

exploit us for an
hour’s desire,

the emptiness of a life,
never to be of one,

sever the words,
mindful episodes of our
life’s toil,
we carry in our hands as
we work in league.

this non-equity,
a whisper at the dawn,

this dream of alarm,
a time that cannot be known,

never considered,
never heard,

a faded memory
you know is there,
however just out of reach,

lays at the foot of the beast,
tied in the web of our own choosing.

One hundred forty-four generations ended,
and that knowledge passed to each.
Time will bless this cup,
it is as life ascended.

The coldness as the winter passed,
we dare to presume,
this elliptic innocence, cast as doom,
was fated chance, instead.
